"Such a pleasure to visit your center!"

Just a few words, but full of emotions and motherly love and care: “a pleasure to visit your center”.
This day October 23, 2013, the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, Mrs Margaret Kenyatta has made us the joy of visiting our Centre Kaburugi.
Just a courtesy visit and an opportunity to touch of the finger the reality of OCTC Kaburugi.
The program of the visit in itself reflects its simplicity and its special character. Before she went to our farming project in Muruka where she was expected by Father Alex, Mr James Ng'ang'an of Uchumi and some of our children of the centre. After visiting the field, the cape was set to the parish of Kaburugi. A crowd worthy of the great days was gathered there, no one willing to miss this historic event the life of the Orione Centre, but also of all Kaburugi.

With the First Lady, there were also honorable Alice MuthoniWahome - M.P (Member of the Parliament) Kandara Constituency and Sabina WanjiruChege - Women Rep. Murang`a County, Chair Education Parliamentary Commitee. Each one have expressed her joy above all for the visit of the First Lady in this locality, but also for the work that is unfold in the Orione Centre and wished a successful future in this work.
The main issue of this visit of our First Lady was not what she says, but see her visiting and sharing the dream of the OCTC for our children, the disables and most vulnerable of our society. Therefore, the positive and greatness of this visit was first of all the presence. And we all hope that it should be the beginning of a great initiative and collaboration for the right and the good of our children and all the disable people of Kenya.
Leaving, Her Excellency the First Lady have received a gift of vegetables grown by the children of our Orione Community Training Centre, OCTC of Kaburugi.

Were present Father Paul Mboche our coordinator here in Kenya, Father Raphael Kailemiah, Father James Njoroge and Brother Arul Dhas of Kaburugi, Father Stanislas Achi from Nairobi Community, Father Peter Wambulwa from Kandisi and Father Alejandro (Alex) Ruiz, director of OCTC Kandisi.
