are taking part to a session "Come and See" in the Community of the Formation House in Nairobi.
All from Kenya, have been invited to this first session of
the academic year 2013-2014 which is from Monday to Saturday. Six days are
devoted to them to enable them to rub closer our Orionine reality but also
enable us to discover them, who knows, maybe tomorrow one of them will felt
called by the Lord and would decide to follow him in our religious family.
Deacon Morris Mawira Gichia first in charge of this session
did not fail to involve almost all of us in the animation. Thus, after the word
of welcome and the inaugural meeting with Father Paul Mboche on the evening of
Monday, on Tuesday, they were introduced to the different topics of this
vocational meeting.
The first topic was presented, Tuesday morning by Deacon
Morris himself. This first meeting focused on "The Life of Don
Orione". In the afternoon of Tuesday, they were invited to join our young
in philosophy for the manual work.
The day of yesterday, Wednesday was dedicated to the prayer.
So in the morning, they were maintained by Father Mboche on the theme of the
Prayer.
In the afternoon, with Deacon Morris, they tried to see how
to pray the breviary.
This Thursday morning, with Father Peter
Wambulwa Parish Priest of the Holy Spirit Parish of Kandisi they reflected
on "Charity in the life of Don Orione". In the afternoon, they will
be led by Father Raphael Kailemiah Parish Priest of Saint Peter of Kaburugi to
extend their reflection on the topic of "Community Life".
Friday morning, with Father Stan GBEISSAY, they
will be led to the discovery of the place of "the Blessed Virgin Mary in
the Life of Don Orione". And in the afternoon of that Friday, they will
still rub again with our philosophy students in manual work. After this time of
manual work, a moment of individual meeting with the Fathers and Deacon Morris
will be offered to them, and an assessment and report on the session in the
evening.
On Saturday morning, this "Come and see" session
will be ended with the Holy Mass in honour of the Virgin Mary, Mother of
Vocations.
And for the specificity of this Saturday, as desired by the
Holy Father Francis, they will also be invited for a prayer for peace and
especially peace in Syria.
The next session is planned for the month of October.
